I hire out a variety of modern cloth nappies from 2 weeks to a month, from home, for the Porirua City Council. A kit enables you to 'try before you buy" at a minimal cost. This enables you to try a variety of different brands to see if using cloth is your cup of tea and if so, which ones fit baby best, which inserts you prefer, and whether you like velcro or snap closures. Each kit comprises of various nappies and inserts, (such as microfibre, hemp and bamboo), some rewashable liners, flushable liners, instructions and a bucket with a lid. Nappies in the kit include those sold locally such as babyfirst, real nappies, peapods and cherub tree. We also have yoyo, honey child, fuzzibuns, EZPZ, Boon, etc. What is included in a kit will depend on your budget as the local nappies are $20 or less each. The NZ made nappies retail from $25 - $40 each.
Cost is $10 per week + a bond of $40, for up to 16 nappies
I am also the Wellington agent for the Cherub Tree one size fits all nappy (osfa). If you aren't keen to hire a kit, then check out the Cherub tree nappy. They are available with either a bamboo trifold or a microfibre and hemp insert, for $19.95 each. Discounts apply if more than one is purchased. I sell flushable liners for $15 for 2 rolls (100 in each roll), $10 for one roll, wetbags for $10 each (hold 5 nappies).
If you have thought about cloth, let me help you get started.
Cloth nappies are:
• Better for our wallets
• Better for our babies bottoms
• Better for our environment
